Sam: picking a bucket of sweet Pink Lady apples - perfect for an afternoon of apple sauce and pie making
Me: an unusually chilly morning walk
Tiger: nap-time on her 'new'* blanket
Appa: being uncooperative...but rather adorable
Quinn: being cooperative & adorable!

*this quilt belonged to Sam as a child, & was made by Sam's mother with  Shirley Barber's 'fairy alphabet' fabric, circa   1991 - although not my 'style' at all, the whimsical print and sentimental-value has meant it was one of the very few pieces of 'stuff' that wasn't donated during out recent clear out. It is now draped over the end of our bed, keeping animal fur off the covers...and keeping everyone happy.

It's so nice to finally be back here, with you! *insert joy here* I'm playing catch-up this week - in all aspects of my life! We've been battling a good ol' cold for well over a week now, as well as cleaning the house from top to bottom for tomorrows impending house inspection, and the most annoyingly slow internet connection, it makes me want to pull my hair out with frustration.

As crazy as life feels at the moment, we're still making time to enjoy the simple things. There's plenty of gardening, pottering around the house, baking treats and spending quality time together. Last night we ate homemade pizza and watched Legend of the Guardians - my love of owls was deeply satisfied!

I'm definitely looking forward to a new week filled with good health, faster wifi and catching up on what's happening in your little corner of the world!

Have a lovely Sunday!

Sar xx

    1. Oh, thank you, Al!...what you can't see is that I'm barefooted, with track pants and the same shirt I wore to bed.

I'm feeling a lot better today - hence my presence here - but poor Sam is still feeling poor, and the weather has turned grey and cold again. I too am looking forward to a new month. February has been a tough one!

      Have a lovely week, lady!

The "awkward" coffee shop pic is a lovely one of you. I'm loving your lippie colour.

    1. It has been a week of 'naughty' treats - homemade pie, tart, sodas, brownies and sticky buns! All totally worth it, though I'm looking forward to fresh squeezed juice and plenty of veggies this week.

Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I'm sooo not used to being in front of the camera, so your compliments are divine!
My 'lippie' colour is actually my real lips...Crazy, right? I get asked by strangers all the time what I'm wearing. I used to dislike my rouge lips, I've come to love them.

Wishing you a lovely week, Milina!

  4. Your furbabies look like quirky little characters. I must say I am quite taken by Appa's gorgeous eyes.

    1. She does have such beautiful eyes - they change colours throughout the year, from lime green to stunning golden yellow. It's one of my favourite things about her :)
