in the light
I am seriously in love with the light of this season.
Somewhere in between the golden rays of Summer and the soft greys of Winter.
I'm soaking it in throughout the day. Creating sense memories of its warm embrace.
Early morning light peeking through the shutters, permeating my dreams and rousing me awake. Sun rays tickling my shoulders and the tip of my nose. Warming the earth below my feet. Feeding the plants and vegetables to nourish our bodies. And at the end of the day, slipping further and beyond the horizon, signalling the close of today and the desire for tomorrow.

You know, I hadn't thought about how the light changes with the seasons until I read this post, but you are so right. I think the thing I do notice the most about spring is the long twilights! Yay, summer soon! Just off to have a wee catch up on your posts, hello again! x
ReplyDeleteOh how I miss twilight! We hardly see it in Queensland but I'm so excited to experience twilight again when we move to Melbourne. For now I'm making the most of (probably) our last Spring and Summer in the Sunshine State.

It's something I've really noticed this last year taking photos almost every year. Good light is just such an amazing thing!
ReplyDeleteOur home has three big floor-to-ceiling windows in the living area which let in the most beautiful sunshine throughout the day, and then our bedroom get glistening, golden light at dusk - it's magical.

it's so pretty. one of my favorite things is watching how lights penetrate through the curtains or how it form a patterns, or how the golden lights just fall upon anything.
