The Week That Was...7//4//13

1. well, it says it all really.
2. we made organic beeswax candles in vintage teacups this week - a sweet little gift
3. oh, how I adore these blushing pink proteas
4. Quinn...up my skirt... Now that the collar is off, she's been back to her usual rambunctious self!

    I had a dress hanging up off the wardrobe and one of our cats just sat there with her head up in it. they are such funny creatures.

  2. my caffeine addiction is increasing rather alarmingly?!...was given a mystery bag of beans....im in love...now just need to figure out what they are??...they may or may not of fallen off the back of a truck???....hence my alarm!! x
    ps Frankie likes to pretend to be a cat and licks ankles???

  3. Lovely little candles, are they easy to make? Quinn is so adorable! /maria x

    1. super easy! I just melt the wax in a double boiler (ie. a metal bowl over a small pot of just simmering water) over a very low flame. let the wax sit for 10-20 mins. place the wicks in the centre of your cup/jar/bottle, then gently pour the wax into it. allow to cure for 24hours before lighting. (most tutorials say to use thermomenters, pouring jugs & other apparatus - I say, be safe & go slowly...& totally try it, it's so fun & satisfying!
